A missed visit

First, the counts. They have risen well, except the platelets. They gave me a pool of them to supplement me.

At last some grounds for optimism!

Rose came for a visit as usual. For lunch she bought me some mushroom risotto soup from Pret's. It was delicious, better than the pizza yesterday, although maybe my taste is also improving.

After lunch, I got a phone call from Cees and Claude. They have come to London to visit me, but Cees has a cold! Rose met them for coffee, and we waved at each other, but that was as close as we got. What a shame. Still, at least the Euro is strong against Sterling, so they can shop till they drop.

Even better still, they brought us a bottle of wine. A very nice bottle of wine actually, a 2005 Tollot Beaut, Beaune Clos du Roi (which is a premier cru Burgundy wine). It will be ready to drink in about 2015, maybe a little later as 2005 was a "big" vintage. We know the wine quite well. We have had both 1997 and 2000 vintages, all very good indeed. For Christmas 2006 a 1997 Clos du Roi had pride of place. I wanted to show a picture, but the software will not play :(

  2. So the one thing you're not measuring (or mentioning) is weight and yet that was a big deal last cycle. Has it stayed stable this time? Do tell. Love Christine
